The restaurant is small and intimate, with only a few tables, which gives it a cozy casual charm but limited space. The food was pleasant and flavorful, and the buffet offered a good mix of options (Dhokla, Paratha, Poha, Papdi chaat, Jalebi). Food is reasonably priced.
However, the dishes were not refilled in a timely manner, leaving some bowls empty for quite a while, which disrupts the dining experience. The staff were friendly but somewhat slow to respond, and we often had to ask for tea or request refills, which resulted in noticeable waiting.
Overall, it’s a nice spot for a quick meal but having a faster buffet replenishment, more attentive service, and better anticipation of customer needs to create a smoother and more satisfying experience.

Absolutely loved the food here! The Daal Baati Churma was spot on – perfectly cooked baati, pickle, and churma with just the right sweetness. The Vada Pav tasted just like Mumbai street food – crispy, spicy, and super satisfying. And the Bombay Sandwich was fresh, loaded, and full of flavour with that classic tamarind chutney kick.
Great taste, generous portions, and proper desi vibes. Highly recommended if you’re craving authentic Indian - Rajasthani comfort food!.
However, Washrooms not available in the restaurant. However, public Washrooms and parking available in Purdie lane. Adjacent to the Pendle Hill station.

I had a wonderful experience at Chai Nashta recently. Last week, I visited with a friend for their breakfast buffet and tried the paneer paratha as well. Their buffet includes a wide variety of items such as dhokla, jalebi, vada pav, chaats, dosa, sambar, and more—all available unlimited for just $15.99.
The food was exceptional and tasted just like home-cooked meals, with no excess oil or spices. It was one of the best dining experiences I have had at any restaurant. They are a pure vegetarian establishment, I had plenty of options, including dishes prepared without onion and garlic. I truly appreciated that the staff prepared no-onion, no-garlic food for me upon request.
I also inquired about their catering services and was pleased to learn that they do provide catering. I will definitely consider them for my next event.
Thank you so much to the entire Chai Nashta team for the excellent service and delicious food.

One of the best Indian food experiences I’ve had in Australia!
The food was served perfectly hot, fresh, and pure vegetarian. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and I truly appreciate their kindness. They even prepared a special no-onion, no-garlic meal for me on the spot—such thoughtful service is rare to find. I’m really grateful for their effort and hospitality. Highly recommended! 🙏✨

Visited Chai Nashta for there veg buffet breakfast. It's a cozy place we don't have to wait as due to rain people were away I guess. Options are good Shilpa,poha, aloo Puri , paneer paratha. Vada pav, jalebi. Onion pickle was very good. Would recommend the place if ur a fan of parathas, Puri and vada pav. Vada pav were brought out fresh
They have lunch specials well.
