I’ve been here dozens of times but haven’t reviewed! And Little Turtle definitely deserved a review. We are always greeted with a warm friendly welcome. The food is awesome and even though it is vegan you would not need to be vegan to enjoy the beautiful, fresh Thai flavours. I could eat the red curry arancini all day long! Love the noodle dishes, masman potatoes, zucchini pops. You must try the desserts too. For the five years I’ve been visiting it’s been consistently fabulous. Great team, great food, great atmosphere.

Totally busy place… serves authentic Thai, everything vegan and fresh. We went for dinner, glad to be reserving ahead of time. Loved all the dishes that we tried… excellent flavour, excellent service. Certainly going to visit again. We ordered bbq tofu satay, hot vegetable ton yum soup, spring rolls

Little Turtle is fully vegan Thai restaurant with some unique interpretations of some Thai dishes. While not always authentic, the dishes are very delicious and each item had enough variation to not rely heavily upon 1-2 ingredients which can be rare for vegan restaurants. Service was excellent with waiters always nearby and waiting to help. The Restaurant can get loud and cramped so be prepared for that. Wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant even for non vegetarian people to give it a go

I took my friends to Little Turtle a Thai vegan spot just a short hop from Newtown and honestly, it’s one of the best plant-based Thai meals I’ve had in ages. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was relaxed and friendly, and the place has that cool, casual energy that makes dinner with mates feel effortless.  The food quality really stood out. Everything we tried had real depth of flavour not just “vegan versions of things,” but dishes that tasted thoughtfully balanced and satisfying on their own. The seasoning, the textures, and the way they use tofu and veggies made every bite feel fresh and intentional. Some vegan Thai places miss that boldness, but this wasn’t one of them.  Service was warm without being overly formal, which fit the laid-back vibe perfectly. It wasn’t rushed, and the staff seemed to genuinely enjoy what they were doing. The interior has a nice feel too simple and comfortable, with enough atmosphere to make the evening feel like more than just dinner. If you’re into good Thai food and want a plant-based version that actually hits, this is one worth checking out. It didn’t feel like we were compromising on flavour at all just enjoying really good Thai, done with care. highly recommended for a great plant based dine-in.

Really enjoyed eating here. The Red Curry Bunny Chow was the best item we selected. Full of flavour. The Pad Thai was great too. The pineapple fried rice was ace!! The Caramelised Braised Eggplant was very crunchy and I thought it was lovely but my girlfriend not so much so split opinion there. The staff were lovely too. Overall a great experience. 100% recommend!!
