We accidentally found this place. It is quite far from the city, and there are no attractions or entertainment activities nearby. This restaurant is completely vegan, and they don’t use onions, so it is quite similar to Buddhist monk-style food. However, you can choose from a wide variety of dishes, and there are many gluten-free and vegan options which were very delicious. Even though it was just us and one other couple in the restaurant, the service was slow, and the atmosphere felt a bit messy and old-fashioned. There were all kinds of different decorations mixed together, which felt quite strange to me. Overall, the food and drinks were very delicious. The vegan “beef” and the soy milk ice cream are real hidden gems. However, the quality and speed of the service, as well as some aspects of the aesthetics, could be improved. With those changes, it could become quite a popular place.

100% vegan restaurant with a huge variety of dishes! We tried many and they were all very good! The noodle soup was delicious, and the main courses were generous in size. There’s also a wide selection of teas to choose from, with the chance to smell and see the different tea and herbal blends up close! One of the restaurant’s most distinctive features is definitely the kindness and attentiveness of the waiter, who was ready to give recommendations and chat in a very friendly way! All the staff were cheerful and welcoming, even though we stayed a little past the 9pm closing time! So happy to have found such a great vegan restaurant! See you soon 💚

Zenhouse on Port Road — our little home away from home (cooking) 💛 Been coming here for over 5 years (and to the old Adelaide spot before it closed) and it never fails to hit the spot. It’s hearty, filling, overall a good experience.

We were welcomed with such hospitality and we were explained the dishes and how they were prepared. Our every question about the dishes were explained to us. It was my first time to a vegan restaurant. The specialty of course is their signature dish the Salt and Pepper Abalone Mushroom. They are proud of the investment right from growing to the end product of delivering a delightful dish. I had an amazing experience and would definitely go there again.
